The basic rental period begins on the first day of the calendar month following the takeover. If the vehicle is taken over before the start of the basic rental period, 1/30 of the monthly leasing rate shall be paid per day for the interim period.

This is an example calculation for an e-bike. The intensity of use and wear and tear are demonstrably greater, as higher average speeds and longer distances are covered than with a normal bike.

KV additional contribution

The statutory health insurance funds have been levying an individual supplementary contribution since January 1, 2015. Information on this can be obtained from your health insurance fund or can be found on your payslip. As a rule, the supplementary health insurance contribution is 1%.

Entitlement to deduct input tax

Companies that include VAT in their income and expenditure are entitled to deduct input tax. They can offset the input tax paid against the VAT received, i.e. receive the input tax back from the tax office. Employers who are entitled to deduct input tax only offset the net leasing rate against the gross salary when converting salaries. You can obtain further information from your employer.

Quartered gross list price

According to the decree of the supreme tax authorities dated 09.01.2020, company bicycles that are provided for the first time from 01.01.2020 are taxed at 1% of the recommended retail price rounded down to the nearest €100. This corresponds to 0.25% of the entire gross list price."
